Russia Collaborates with IATA for Aviation Development

Russia has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to improve the country's airport operations. The MoU will focus on safety, security, technology, airport infrastructure, air navigation, ground handling and training.

Russia has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to improve the country’s airport operations.

The MoU will focus on safety, security, technology, airport infrastructure, air navigation, ground handling and training.

In a discussion with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow, the IATA director general and CEO Giovanni Bisignani said that Russia could enhance its safety record using the IATA operational safety audit (IOSA) alongside other auditing programmes.
