Google has offered to provide free Wi-Fi access at 47 airports across the US during the holiday period running to 15 January 2010.
Buffalo Niagara International Airport, McCarran International Airport, Orlando International Airport and Charlotte Douglas International Airport feature among the selected airports to receive this service.
The users of the free service will be requested to make charitable donations upon logging in.
The funds procured through this initiative will be channelled towards the Engineers Without Borders, the One Economy Corporation and the Climate Savers Computing Initiative.
Google is expected to donate up to $250,000 to the same cause.
The airport that donates the most will receive an additional amount of $15,000 from Google to donate to any local charity.
