San Bernardino International Airport in the US will soon have a new US Customs facility, which will include immigration, customs and agricultural screening measures for international passengers.

Officials at the airport broke ground for the new 40,000ft² building, which will house US Customs and a Border Protection office.

Airport development funds will finance the construction of the building, which will cost between $5m and $7m.

The new facility will also allow cargo screening and is expected to open around September 2010.
