Boscobel Aerodrome in Jamaica will be converted into an International Port of Entry (IPE) through a $300m proposal approved by the Jamaican Government.
The project has been funded by Jamaica’s Airports Authority and its Tourism Enhancement Fund, with over $100m having already been spent on construction.
The aerodrome is located in northern Jamaica and will cater to international flight operations and offer direct landing facilities for private jet owners.
The capital development programme will involve extension of the runway, an apron for parking aircraft, a new terminal building, new runway lighting and other ancillary facilities.
