San Francisco International Airport is installing new passenger boarding bridges at the Terminal 2 gates as part of its renovation and expansion project.
The $7.3m contract for the bridges was awarded to JBT AeroTech Corporation by Turner Construction Company.
The company will install 14 new Jetway passenger boarding bridges and preconditioned air units at gates in Terminal 2, which has been out of operation since December 2000.
JBT is expected to complete the work by early 2010, while the terminal renovation is scheduled to be complete by the first quarter of 2011.
JBT AeroTech is a subsidiary of the John Bean Technologies Corporation (JBT) group, a technology solutions provider.
