Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in Jordan has announced a $750m expansion.
The project involves building a 86,000m² passenger terminal and redeveloping the airport and its facilities.
Work is scheduled to be undertaken in two phases. Phase I is expected to be complete by 2012 and will equip the airport to accommodate nine million passengers, while phase II will accommodate an additional two million passengers.
The airport is part of the Airport International Group, the Jordanian company responsible for developing and operating QAIA.
