A new X-ray detection system, the HI-SCAN 7555aTiX, has been launched by Smiths Detection at the 17th inter airport Europe 2009 exhibition in Germany.
The automatic X-ray inspection system can detect explosives and liquids in parcels, packages, air cargo and checked baggage.

The system’s aperture opening of 75cm×55cm allows for the passage of small and medium cargo.
The system has a maximum load capacity of 250kg and can be integrated with system management, archiving, image distribution and TIP functionalities.
