The South-West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) has expressed concern over the proposed £150m expansion plan for Bristol International Airport (BRS) in the UK.

SWRDA has called for a more in-depth analysis of the project after raising concerns regarding the airport’s planning application about its projected passenger growth and economic benefits.

The agency wants the airport to reduce carbon emissions across its site and operations, and put a plan in place to achieve carbon neutrality.
