The Kuwaiti Government is planning to build a $2.72bn passenger terminal at Kuwait International Airport (KIA) that will be able to handle 13 million passengers annually.
According to reports, bids have been submitted for the terminal design by four companies and the government will select the winning firm by December.
Tenders for various contracts such as engineering, procurement and construction are expected to be issued in May 2012.
Construction of the terminal is expected to be complete by November 2016.
