The Indian aviation sector has been deemed compliant with international aviation safety assessment (IASA) standards by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA conducted a reassessment in March 2009, which was based on an audit conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) in October 2006.
