Four international airports in Nigeria that will be privatised by the federal government are being inspected by consultants from the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

Murtala Muhammed Airport, Margaret Ekpo Airport, Port Harcourt International Airport and Aminu Kano International Airport will all be handed over to private investors.

The consultants inspected the runway, airfield lighting, fire service, hajj camp, Nigerian Aviation Handling Company, cargo shed and other facilities.

The ICAO consultants were invited by the government to ensure the sale would be done in the fairest way possible.
