Brisbane Airport in Queensland, Australia, will see development work worth $4.2bn change the way the airport operates.

The airport, which has had $1.21bn spent on it in the last decade alone, will have work done to ensure it can cater to about 40 million passengers and host about 40,000 full-time staff over the next 20 years.

Work on the airport’s runway, roads and terminal systems will be undertaken with sustainability in mind, according to the airport operators.
