David Johnston has been appointed as the new managing director of Stansted Airport in the UK, succeeding Stewart Wingate, BAA has announced.

Johnson joined BAA in 2007 as the managing director of Edinburgh Airport and is currently the group procurement director.

Outgoing Stansted MD Wingate will be joining Connaught plc as the regional managing director for London and the south east.
