Griffiss International Airport in the US will undertake a $2.5m runway rehabilitation after securing federal money for the project.

The airport will repair 77 pavement slabs on the runway, starting in spring.

The US Department of Transportation has described the existing runway pavement as being in poor condition and unsafe for operations at the airport.
