Burlington International Airport in the US is to undergo a major improvement programme using $12.75m of funds offered by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Out of the total amount, $7m will be used for BTV‘s new South End Development, which includes the upgrade of taxiways and runways.
BTV will use another $5.2m to carry out noise assessments and development after it acquires adjacent land around the airport.
Another $549,000 will be used for changing the airport’s taxiway lighting to energy-efficient LED fixtures.
