Lohegaon International Airport in India has been advised to implement new security measures by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has been urged to install tyre-killers and bollards at entry and exit points of the airport complex to prevent entry of any unauthorised vehicles.

Tyre-killers are an electro-hydraulically operated spike obstruction system that emerges above ground level on receiving a valid input signal preventing unauthorised entry.

The matter is now being considered by AAI and a decision is pending.
