Tokyo International Airport in Japan, commonly known as Haneda Airport, has topped the list of the world’s most on-time airports, according to data released by US company FlightStats.

The airport has exceeded results of other airports in arrivals (88.6%) and departures (94.3%), says FlightStats, which tracks historical and real-time flight information for airports and airlines around the world.

The data released by the company also indicated that the world’s busiest airports are showing signs of improved performances with Asian airports in particular grabbing six of the first ten slots.

The industry definition for an on-time flight is less than 15 minutes late.
