According to reports, low-cost airline easyJet is to cut flights at its second-largest base – Luton Airport in the UK – by 20%.

Citing an increase in airport charges as the main cause for the move, Scotland’s largest airline will also cut more than 250 staff. It is believed that 180 flights a week may be pulled from its operations.

EasyJet currently flies to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness from Luton Airport.
