Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Nigeria will construct a new control tower as part of the federal government’s €68.6m ($98.2m) project to renovate the facility.

Construction activity for the control tower has started and is scheduled to reach completion by the end of the year.

The new tower will replace the outdated one, which was originally constructed in 1957.

Meanwhile, construction work on the new N300m ($1.97m) domestic terminal, which began nearly a decade ago, is now 95% complete.
