Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Mongolia will undergo a survey on the prospect of generating green electric energy through solar power.

The survey will be conducted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in line with the Mongolian Government’s recommendation.

The Ministry of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development will be in charge of the survey, while the Civil Aviation Authority will handle its execution.

The solar power station will supply constant electrical energy to the airport during the survey.

Mongolia is a potential source for solar power due to the sunny weather conditions throughout the year.
