Birmingham International Airport in the UK has awarded a two-year consultancy contract to aviation route development specialists ASM.
ASM will provide campaign management support and market research for the airport’s market development operation.
Birmingham International Airport’s chief executive officer Paul Kehoe said that ASM will collaborate with the airport’s in-house team to focus on potential clients and markets.
The airport plans to attract new airlines and increase air traffic in Birmingham as only 36% of its catchment area currently use the facility.
Kehoe said that ASM’s assistance will help the airport reach its target of 18 million travellers by 2020.
