Kona International Airport in Hawaii has received $1.5m from the US Department of Transportation in order to conduct an environmental evaluation.
The evaluation is part of the recently approved airport master proposal, and will ensure such plans conform to the National Environmental Policy Act of the Federal Aviation Administration.
