The UK’s largest airport operator, BAA, has employed Jacobs Engineering Group to supply engineering design services at Heathrow Airport’s new energy centre.

The project will help support BAA’s carbon-reduction plan.

The company will offer technology performance modelling, energy demand profiling and evaluation of full-life environmental, maintenance and commercial alternatives before creating the scheme design.

The energy centre will feature a combination of renewable fuels and traditional plant technology, which will cater for the new eastern campus development’s heat and power requirements.
