Sharjah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates will outsource facilities management operations to Etisalat Facilities Management, under a new five-year contract.

The contract will improve the quality of facilities management services at the airport.

The contract was signed based on study and a memorandum of understanding as well as the track record of Etisalat Facilities Management in this field.

The staff of Etisalat Facilities Management will be increased to 100 after the completion of the defect liability period of the expansion of Sharjah International Airport.

Etisalat Facilities Management will also utilise sophisticated technologies such as facilities management software Maximo and personal digital assistants (PDAs) in managing its operations.

It will also provide essential tools for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service-level agreements (SLAs) and staff productivity.
