Duluth Airport Authority in the US has approved a conceptual design for the airport’s new terminal.
The first phase of the project has just begun, and will focus on site infrastructure.
The terminal design will include components such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)certification.
The authority has awarded a construction management contract to Kraus Anderson.
The architectural experts, including Reynolds, Smith and Hills join local architect Stanius Johnson to create the conceptual design of the new terminal.
Phase 2 of airport’s new terminal construction project will require an additional $11.7m in state bonding by 2010.
The project is expected to be complete by 2011.
