Fresno Yosemite International Airport in the US has installed a new information kiosk ‘MYPVDATA’ to help the airport monitor the performance of its 2.4MW-capacity solar array.

The kiosk will deliver real-time performance data on the solar system to help the airport get maximum benefits from the use of solar energy.

System developer and operator Solar Power Partners (SPP) installed the solar monitor on a 20-acre site, constructed with APS single-axis trackers.

The system enables the modules to follow the movement of the sun.

Electricity generated from the system will be transferred to the airport’s main power supply.

According to MYPVDATA, the solar panels of the airport have already generated 524,948kWh of solar energy — the equivalent of 2,072 trees.
