The UK’s Bristol International Airport is proposing a £150m expansion plan that will involve expansion of the terminal and a multistorey car park.

The airport plans to begin its expansion in early 2010.

It is already investing £600,000 to improve its car parks, as part of the proposed plan.

The improvement of the car park will start with resurfacing 62,000m² of the long-stay silver zone car park and the renovation of the area’s reception building.

The customer service and payment facility in the long-stay area will be shifted to the north side of the airport site.

The first stage of the car park improvement is expected to be completed by next month.

The airport added 84 spaces to its long-stay car park in February 2009.
