The Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) in Taiwan is planning to add a new runway and terminal at Taipei International Airport.

This new project will increase passenger traffic capacity from 21.9 million in 2008 to 47.5 million in 2035, while cargo volume will be increased from 1.49 million tons in 2008 to 4.03 million tons in 2035.

This new runway and terminal will accommodate the world’s largest aircraft, the new Airbus A380.
