Hong Kong International Airport has awarded a contract to Motorola to supply 70m IATA-standard 21in RFID baggage tracking tags.

Motorola has teamed up with Avery Dennison RFID to provide AD-833 inlay and Print-O-Tape for the baggage tag.

The EPC gen2-enabled RFID bag tags, unlike barcode-only tags, can be read at long distances and without direct contract.
