Manchester Airport recorded a 5.9% fall in passenger traffic in April, compared to the same month in 2008.

The airport witnessed 11.71% drop in charter traffic, but international scheduled traffic showed an increase of 0.11% in passenger traffic, UK-airport-news.com reported.

Airport Co-ordination, the company which allocates landing slots at all UK airports, is expecting a fall of 8% in passenger traffic over the airport’s 30-week summer schedule.
