Heathrow and Edinburgh airports in the UK have seen an increase in air passenger traffic due to the busy Easter period.

Heathrow recorded an increase of 2.6% in passenger traffic in April 2009 compared to the same month the previous year, providing a 33% to 38% increase in long-haul services for the first three months of 2009.

The passenger traffic at Edinburgh Airport increased by 3.9% in April 2009, whereas the passenger traffic at Gatwick, Stansted, Glasgow and Aberdeen airports declined in the same month.
