German air transport company Fraport is expecting a fall of 15% in overall profit compared to the last year, according to company officials.

The company, which operates Frankfurt International Airport serving Frankfurt am Main and the smaller Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, is also anticipating a fall in EBITDA in 2009, the airport-suppliers website reported.

The German airport operator’s EBITDA witnessed 15.6% drop in the first quarter this year.

Fraport said that it is expecting a 6%-9% fall in passenger volume at Frankfurt Airport.

The recent outbreak of swine flu could further weigh on demand, the company said while disclosing the reason behind the fall.
