The Kuwait Government, keen to cater for future growth, says it is to build another airport in the country.

Minister of State for the Municipality and for Public Works Fadhil Safar said that Kuwait needs a second airport to cope up with the expected increasing number of passengers in future, as reported by the website

The construction of a second airport, proposed in a number of studies, would also contribute to achieving His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah’s vision of turning Kuwait into an international financial and commercial centre, he added.
