Six people were tested for suspected swine flu at Brisbane Airport on Tuesday.

One person has been tested at a screening station set up at the airport by Queensland Health.

The Australian Airport Authority has instructed that the captains of all planes landing in Australia from the Americas report to the Quarantine Service on the health of all those onboard, as reported by the website bigpondnews.com.

The Australian Government has reassured its state of readiness to deal with the swine flu.

WHO has raised its pandemic alert to four out of a possible rating of six for the virus that has caused an estimated 150 deaths in Mexico and infected around 1,600 people.
