A new logistics park at Abu Dhabi International Airport, UAE, will become operational this year, according to the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC).
Construction of the first phase is already underway. The development of phase II is expected to start in 2011. and is likely to be completed by 2015.
The company said that once opened the park will offer a wide choice of facilities.
ADAC chairman HE Khalifa Al Mazrouei said: “The Abu Dhabi Airport Logistics Park forms an integral part of the major expansion programme at Abu Dhabi International Airport, which, last October, saw the completion of a new second runway.”
The airport’s redevelopment programme also includes a new air traffic control tower, a new cargo terminal due for completion in 2010 and the construction of a new midfield terminal complex.
