Seven Nigerian airports undergoing standardisation of navigational equipment have reached phase two of the process, aimed at facilitating safe flight operations across the country.

The seven-day exercise, being conducted by Dakar-based firm ASCERNA, will include Lagos, Maidugiri, Gombe, Jos, Enugu, Port Harcourt and Calabar airports, the Punchng website reported.

Instrument landing systems, very high omnidirectional radio ranges, distance measuring equipment, glide path and precision approach instruments will all be standardised through phase two.
