The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has signed an agreement enabling it to be connected to the European AIS Database EAD using the Frequentis FR-AIS technology.

The EAD service has been in service since 2003 and is currently used by 38 EUROCONTROL member states.

The service is a result of the amalgamation of a single database entity, data verification and validation facilities.

Under the agreement, CAAP will be able to connect on a 24/7 basis online to all EAD services and will be able to add and edit NOTAM’s, AIP’s, Charts, and any other static data of the Philippines and will make such data accessible to all other EAD member countries
