Airports in Denver, Centennial and Aspen will share $20m from the federal stimulus package set aside by President Obama.
Denver International Airport will get $7m for runway rehabilitation and $5m for apron improvements.
Centennial Airport will get $4m for taxiway rehabilitation and Aspen-Pitkin County Airport will get $4m for apron improvements.
The grants are being allocated through the Federal Aviation Administration’s airport improvement programme. The stimulus package includes a total of $1.1bn for the programme.
