SRA wins $388m FAA ETASS contract

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded an engineering services contract to SRA International for its EnRoute Technical Assistance Support Services (ETASS) programme.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded an engineering services contract to SRA International for its EnRoute Technical Assistance Support Services (ETASS) programme.

The contract is worth approximately $388m if all options are exercised, and covers three base years plus two options for two years each.

Under the contract, SRA will provide engineering, programme management and technical support services for FAA's existing and future National Airspace System (NAS) programmes, including NextGen initiatives.

SRA and its team will support operations in the Program Management Office (PMO) within the FAA's Air Traffic Organisation (ATO).

The company will also support FAA in both maintaining the current legacy programmes and upgrading its air traffic management systems.

SRA senior vice president, Steve Tolbert, said: "SRA's heritage as a support contractor to the FAA dates back to 1989, delivering proven solutions for complex systems integration engineering, research and development and next generation cyber security technologies."

The FAA engineering services contract team also includes Base-2, Computer Sciences (CSC), Human Solutions, CTA, Integrated Financial Analysts, IntePros Consulting, Interim Solutions for Government, JMA Solutions, NATS (USA) and Veracity Engineering.

Tolbert: "We are turning our immediate attention to providing a seamless transition for the FAA, and hope to further expand and grow our rich partnership with the FAA through the ETASS program."
