Passenger Traffic Increases at Changi Airport

Changi International Airport in Singapore has recorded a 10.8% rise in passenger traffic to 3.39 million passenger in September 2010.

The airport has handled 30.8 million passengers so far this year, an increase of 15.3% compared with the same period in 2009.

Traffic to south-east and north-east Asia recorded double-digit growth of 14.9% and 16.8% respectively.

Cargo traffic rose 7.3% to 151,055t, compared with September 2009, while it increased 14% to 1.34 million tons for the first nine months of 2010.

Aircraft movements increased 9% to 21,923 in September 2010, totalling 194,894 for January to September 2010.
