San Francisco International Airport (SFIA) in the US has deployed the SAFE security management system from Quantum Secure.

The system will enable the airport to streamline its security operations and ensure real-time compliance with current Transportation Security Administration security directives.

It will also automate manual processes related to background checks, access credential issuance and access privilege assignment into physical access control systems.

The SAFE system can work across multiple departments and systems within the airport, including aviation security, airfield operations, the security operations centre and communications.

It can integrate with computer-based training systems for real-time validation of training credentials and issue multi-technology, secure badges for use with multiple picture archiving and communication systems, and biometric access devices.
