Munich Airport in Germany has recorded a 10% increase in passenger traffic to 10 million passengers in the third quarter of 2010, compared with the same period in 2009.
The airport handled 3.5 million passengers in September, while the highest daily record was achieved on 1 October, with 129,707 passengers passing through.
On 1 October, Munich Airport achieved a new record of 129,707 passengers.
In the third quarter of 2010, aircraft movement increased 3% and cargo increased 29% to 200,000t, compared with the same period in 2009.
The airport’s European traffic segment rose by 9% at the end of the third quarter, while intercontinental traffic increased by 20%.
