The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore to develop a professional programme for the global aviation industry.
Under the agreement, NTU and IATA will launch a joint executive Master of Business Administration programme with specialisation in aviation management.
The NTU faculty will lecture in IATA Training and Development Institute courses, while senior instructors from IATA will teach in NTU programmes.
NTU president Dr Su Guaning said: "The nurturing of human capital and the focus on management competencies are crucial in developing the talent base for aviation companies and organisations in Asia and beyond."
Both the organisations will collaborate on research topics to develop new theories and practices on cultural intelligence and global talent management.
NTU and IATA will also work together to organise an International Aviation Human Resource Summit in Singapore.
