Around 400 flights between France and the UK will be cancelled today following a general strike by French air traffic controllers called over pension reform.
French civil aviation authority has recommended airlines reduce flights in and out of Paris Orly Airport by 50% and those at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport by 40%.
Flights to and from other French airports will also be reduced by 40%, according to Bloomberg.
Ryanair will cancel 200 flights while British Airways is expected to ground around 20 flights.
Airlines will also be diverted, as much of the French airspace will be unavailable, leading to delays and congestion on other routes across Europe.
