Munich Airport in Germany has posted a 7.7% rise in passenger traffic in August 2010 compared with the same period in 2009, handling 3.26 million passengers.
International passenger volume increased by 8.6% to 2.52 million, while domestic passenger volume rose by 3.9% to 730,750 in August.
The airport has handled 22.47 million passengers this year so far, an increase by 4.6% compared with the first eight months of 2009.
In the first eight months of 2010, international passenger traffic rose 6.6% to 16.49 million, while domestic traffic dropped by 1.2% to 5.89 million, compared with the same period in 2009.
Air transport movements rose by 3% in August but have dropped by 3.5% for the year so far, according to moodiereport.com.
