Dubai Airports is considering a one-stop processing system for the new Dubai World Central-Al Maktoum International Airport to speed up the check-in and security process for passengers.

The company has trialled Siemens AG technology that will allow passengers to pass through check-in, customs, immigration and security screening in one place, according to Bloomberg.

The new airport is part of a planned $32bn travel and logistics development programme being undertaken in Dubai.
