HCL Infosystems has deployed the largest airport operation control centre (AOCC) in India for the new Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi.

The AOCC's IT system will facilitate airside operations, resources planning and allocation, terminal operations and security in order to allow real-time collaboration, according to HCL.

The manufacturer states that the system will increase reliability, scalability, real-time intelligence and information security of operation teams and provide comprehensive situation analysis and management capabilities.

The AOCC will be integrated with 19 IT systems, a full range of video surveillance backed by tamper-proof video data analysis and active archiving capabilities linked to multiple alarm and access control systems.

The system will support daily airport management and monitor the airport's overall operations for real-time inputs and joint operations.
