Incheon International Airport in South Korea handled 115,901 passengers on 31 July 2010, breaking its previous record of 111,472, recorded in 2007.

The airport predicts that the average daily number of passengers will reach 101,000 during the vacation season between 24 July and August 2010, a rise of 8% from 94,000 for the same period of 2009.

Incheon Airport's total number of passengers for 2010 is expected to exceed 33 million, breaking the previous record of 31.2 million made in 2007, according to the Korea Herald.

Incheon has been named as the best airport in the world by the Airports Council International for the fifth consecutive year.
