Tulsa International Airport in Oklahoma, US, has awarded a contract to Manhattan Construction Group of Tulsa for the renovation of Terminal Concourse B.
The $15.9m contract, part of the airport's overall $164m Capital Improvement Program, will include the complete renovation of Concourse B.
The project will involve the replacement of electrical, lighting, heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, roofing, communications and plumbing infrastructures, fixtures as well as fire protection equipment.
The contract will also include removing select walls to allow for open gate holding areas along both sides of Concourse B and raising the height of ceilings by 8in.
The first phase of the upper passenger level renovation will begin with the front half of Concourse B.
Once the front half is complete all airlines will be able to move to the newly renovated gates while the rear half of the concourse closes for renovation.
