The National Research Council (NRC) of Canada has approved Ubitech's proposal to develop an Aeronautical Information Management system.

The system will provide state air navigation service providers (ANSP) the technology to manage critical aeronautical information within the context of System Wide Information Management.

It will help ANSPs to understand and follow the new standards written by the International Civil Aviation Organization and Eurocontrol for the management of aeronautical information.

The approval will secure funding assistance for Ubitech's development activities under the NRC's Innovation and Research Assistance Program.

Ubitech will launch its AIM product, named Spatia, in Q2 2011 and through subsequent launches in Q4 2011 and Q2 2012.
